Manufacturers' news 17th January 2012
 As the large plastic kit and etch manufacturers get sufficient coverage elsewhere on the internet we will concentrate on the smaller producers, especially those producing resin kits and accesories

 I have managed to purchase some ROP OS Samek kits from MN Modelar and am pleased to report that they are basically identical to old Samek in terms of quality.  The list of kits available is here to contact email fidakneve@seznam.cz they are able to take paypal payments.

Dazzle Modelworks is a new company from the US who have produced two kits of Japanese Type 2A freighters.  More kits are planned, mainly merchant subjects.

A new company producing etched parts is Five Star Model from China, they have some very interesting items including a very detailed set of US vehicles and a large dry dock.

Combrig have quite a few items announced but releases have been a little slow recently, the list now includes RN battleships Lord Nelson, Agamemnon and a range of Virginia class battleships, all in 1:700

Niko have released two kits of HMS Albatros and another of the aircraft transport ship HMS Athene.


OKB Grigorov have started releasing submarines in 1:700 waterline as well as full hull, including USS Nautilus, Soviet Project 667 and USS Skate.


L'Arsenal have released 1:350 some vehicle accessories to go with their forthcoming Mulbery Harbour project.In 1:700 their kit of HMS Fearless is now available.


Battlefleet models will be releasing a 1:350 kit of SMS Vulkan, a german submarine repair ship.


MT Miniatures have released their kit of HMS Fearless.

White Ensign Models have announced a model of HMS London, although a number of kits have been announced in the past 18 months which have not yet become available, so you may have some time to wait.

Loose Cannon win this weeks award for production with no less than 25 new kits announced.  Most are merchant vessels but some naval and accessories, all in 1:700.  There are too many to list but they can all be found here. 

Modelkrak have issued another 1:700 Japanese destroyer kit, this time the Isokadze


Orange Hobby follow up their first two releases with a kit of HMS Ocean, no news on their website yet but also in 1:700 is the modern tug Rowengarth.
 
WSW Modellbau have released a 1:700 kit of the French postwar frigate Commandant Riviere.

The Resin Shipyard have announced a 1:350 kit of HMCS Fraser DDH for release in early 2012

Alliance Modelworks have released some new items including some 1:350 US secondary armament turrets, but also some barge cranes which are a combination of Battlefleet models resin parts and Alliance etched parts
