HMS Invincible, 1:350 from the Airfix kit by Louis Carabott 

I wanted to depict my model HMS Invincible  during the Falklands war...T his model is a conversion from the Airfix HMS Illustrious. Both the bow and the stern had to be rebuilt from scratch as totally different from the existing parts in the kit. The take off ramp had also to be rebuilt from scratch. The island had to be reworked completely with new radar domes and main mast. The front and rear end of the island had to be reworked to accommodate the radar domes. The choppers were converted from the tamija seakings and the harriers were also converted from AV8 offerings. Extra sloops and motor boats had to be scratchbuilt
The model was finished with a combination of enamels, acrylics and oils.
