HMS Sheffield, 1:350 by Phil Reeder 

I was lucky enough to buy the long out of production WEM kit of the Type 42 HMS Nottingham.  As I`ve always wanted to build a model of HMS Sheffield as she looked when I saw her in 1981, also my cousin was on her when she hit by the Exocet, luckily he survived.  The kit is of a batch 2 T42, but Sheff was a batch 1. I was able to convert the kit with the help of a set of Jecobin plans.  Most of the difference lay in the area around the funnel and other minor details.  The model took four weeks to complete and I enjoyed every minute if it.
