Richelieu at New York 1943 bv Louis Carabott

Here are some pics of a diorama of the French Battleship Richelieu at New York in 1943. When it had an extensive refit before leaving for Scapa Flow . The model is Trumpeter in 1/350 scale. It was extensively detailed using photoetch and odds bits of plastic strip...computer components from a motherboard  ...:) and other stuff. The model was finished with a combination of acrylic, enamels and oil paints to achieve the soft Edge MS-3X camouflage US Navy finish.

Everything else is totally scratcbuilt including buildings, crane gantry, railroad engines and wagons, harbour cargo ship, converted tugs and all the rest.
